La Rambla, Barcelona, Spain

My hotel was in La Rambla.  This boulevard is known as the bustling street always filled with crowds (locals and tourists) walking along La Rambla.  In La Rambla you can find all sorts of souvenirs, flowers stores, cafes, restaurants, fast food stores, hotels, clothing shops, ice cream shops, kebabs, street performers, pick pocketers and anything else you care to name!  Note that La Rambla is always surrounded with police because La Rambla is known as the largest pick pocket area amongst the other places in Barcelona.

I truly enjoyed my stay in La Rambla as it is central with easy access to everything.  When I get hungry from my hotel I always just walk down to grab something to eat from many small fast food stores.  La Rambla is also close by to the city’s attractions such as the La Pedrera also known as the Casa Mila, Barri Gotica, Paseig de Gracia, Barceloneta, Catalunya.  The beach is also not far from the La Rambla.  The good thing about La Rambla is you never get bored watching people walking pass by and also watching the many human mannequins and the performers.

To experience the most of the La Rambla half a day should be enough so long as you don’t get too distracted with many performers along the street.  Well, which I did anyway so it took me almost a day just walking along La Rambla.
