Where to stay in La Rambla. Barcelona – Cheap Hotel Lloret Ramblas

I have received numerous requests for tip regarding a cheap hotel in La Ramba from various subscribers of this blog.  Finally, I managed to post a review of Hotel Lloret Ramblas where I stayed during my holiday.

Hotel Lloret Ramblas is the cheapest hotel along La Rambla as it has easy access to everything you need.  It’s situated right outside the Plaza Catalunya Square and the busiest quarter of Barcelona.  Hotel Lloret Ramblas is also within walking distance of many tourists’ attractions and well known quarters of Barcelona such as the Barri Gothic, Paseig de Gracia, La Pedrera (Casa Mila), the port, the beach, shopping mall, various restaurants and shops.  There are metros on both sides of La Rambla which is not very far from the Hotel Lloret Ramblas.

The main reception of the hotel is at the first floor so as you enter the building, make sure that you take the lift or the stairs from the ground floor to the first floor.  This hotel has a 24 hour reception service that provides an air conditioned room, living area and kitchen.  The hotel also offers free wireless access to the internet (they will provide you with a login and a password to their network).  The hotel offers a single or double room with a balcony and a flat screen satellite tv.  The room was well-designed and furnished with a work desk, side bed desk, bed lights, hangers, hair dryers, towels, soaps, shampoos and air conditioner.  The balcony is not that big in some rooms, which means that you cannot really sit down and relax, however you can stand up and watch people along La Rambla or take lots of beautiful photos.  If you are lucky enough to get a room with a large balcony, then you can enjoy the magnificent view of La Rambla and the Catalunya. 

  

The hotel also serves breakfast at an additional costs, however you can book a room that includes breakfast rate.  When I stayed in Hotel Lloret Ramblas I booked a room with breakfast and the price was absolutely reasonable.  However, the breakfast is served with basic mini croissants, muffins, corn flakes, bread, butter, jam, milk, coffee, and tea.  If you usually have your breakfast with bread, eggs, bacon, tomato and some vegetables then I highly recommend that you do not book your room with breakfast in this hotel as you will not be satisfied with your meal.  You can easily find a nice café or restaurant along La Rambla for a nice big breakfast.  

For those who cannot stand a holiday without keeping in touch

Hotel Lloret Ramblas does make every effort to keep you connected.  As mentioned, guests are given free internet access; however the wireless reception in my room was not adequate though I’m not quite sure of the other rooms.  Nevertheless, you can go down the 1^st floor by the reception to access the internet as they provide a computer to use for all their guests.

This is beautiful and a cheap hotel to stay, I wish you have a lovely experience.
